Scott Hancock is involved in all aspects of protecting, leveraging and transferring University intellectual property assets to company commercialization partners. His responsibilities include exploring the business case for inventions generated campus-wide, managing faculty and student engagement with patent counsel, marketing technologies and negotiating options and licenses. He also takes the lead in crafting confidentiality, material transfer and inter-institutional agreements. He works closely with the Office of Sponsored Programs relative to intellectual property rights in grants and contracts. |

Per Stromhaug works with all SUNY partner campuses systemwide with the mission of assisting the commercialization hubs (Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, and Stony Brook) and partner campuses in coordinated disclosure, assessment and advancement of SUNY technologies; promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among SUNY administration, faculty and students; and facilitating collaboration, cooperation and communication between SUNY campuses and industry. |

C. Scott Bowen has a background in law, having worked as an attorney in the private sector, the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Attorney General’s Office and the State Organized Crime Task Force. He has also served as a commissioner for the New York State Insurance Fund and as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Business Council Inc. in Washington, D.C. |

Laura Holmes coordinates the daily workflow for the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships. She works closely with office staff and external law firms in the processing and review of legal documents for patents, disclosures, licenses and royalty distributions. She handles travel, accounts payable, accounts receivable, arranges meetings and appointments and performs additional office management tasks. She also supports the office of State and Community Relations as well as Startup Suite (Technology Pre-incubator facility) companies. In addition, she maintains and updates the Intellectual Property database and other relevant documents within the division. |
