Proposal Preparation
Completed grant proposals must be submitted to OSP three business days before the submission deadline.
The Grant and Contract Administrators (GCA) in the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) are available to assist researchers with proposal preparation by interpreting sponsor guidelines and University policies related to sponsored program activity. It is important that you contact your assigned GCA early in the preparation process. Early assistance can help you avoid problems that could lead to rejection of a proposal or unacceptable award terms and conditions.
Before submission to the sponsor, the GCA will review your proposal for conformance to policies and guidelines. All proposals need to be approved by the appropriate department chair and dean before being submitted by OSP. In addition, some projects may require additional, internal approvals before submission and your GCA can assist you in that determination.
