Engineering Deans' Public Policy Colloquium

Binghamton University again participated in the annual American Society for Engineering Education Engineering Dean's Council Public Policy Colloquium in Washington, D.C. February 14 and 15, 2006.

This year’s Colloquium, “Engineering Colleges in Service to America” explored the role that engineering plays in ensuring a prosperous and secure national future.

A delegation representing academic institutions in New York State visited with staff from the offices of Congressman Maurice Hinchey, Congressman Sherwood Boehlert, Senator Charles Schumer and Senator Hillary Clinton. The group also discussed the President’s American Competitive Initiative with staff from the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
