Abstract: Pilot projects conducted around the globe to test the effects of universal basic income (UBI) are often inaccessible or illegible to the general public, who are blocked by paywalls and jargon. Even when reported on by journalists, topline findings can obscure key nuances and details in pilot design. The Stanford Basic Income Lab has published UBI pilot findings concerning health, economic metrics, and other factors. Building on this work, this project presents a series of videos to communicate findings of specific experiments and programs from Japan, the US, Namibia, and elsewhere. The purpose of pilot programs is to prove over and over the outcomes of UBIs, where a large support from the general public for it could lead to an actual implementation, bringing welfare and positives to the quality of life. At a first glance, the idea of cash transfers is intuitive and straightforward, until measures of well-being suggest otherwise.
