Abstract: The relationship between college students' stress and time management is complex. Increased stress is often associated with poorer time management skills. Research has examined college students' stress levels however, the relationship between college students’ beliefs about stress and time management has not been examined. Stress mindset theory suggests that views about stress, enhancing or debilitating, have been linked to differences in students’ outcomes. Students with an enhancing stress mindset are more likely to view stress as a catalyst for growth, whereas students with a debilitating stress mindset are more likely to view stress as threatening. Time management is an essential tool for achieving academic success however, it may be influenced by how students interpret their stress. This study bridges the gap between how students’ stress mindset and time management are correlated.
