Abstract: Energy drink and caffeine use have become more prolific than ever in the modern-day Western diet. This study seeks to examine the links between a person’s diet (with a focus on energy drink consumption), personality, and quality of life. Data was collected and measured using a Google Form distributed via text messaging, emailing, and social media to reach as many unique demographics as possible. The data relating to an individual’s diet and the effects on sleep, mental health, and physical activity was analyzed using Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient in SPSS 28.0. It was discovered that the consumption of energy drinks leads to increased enthusiasm and quarrelsome feelings (p<0.01). In addition, an individual’s consumption of plant foods increases their satisfaction with sleep (p<0.01). These findings show a positive correlation, in which increasing the consumption of energy drinks alongside nutritious food can improve one’s quality of life.
