Because of this, stuttering can heavily affect one’s ability to verbally communicate in college and shape their experiences regarding classroom participation, expectations, and different peer interactions. This study will examines how academic assumptions and expectations influence the experiences of students who stutter in college settings. The goal of this study is to better understand the challenges these students or alumni have faced and to highlight the importance of creating more supportive and inclusive academic environments for individuals who stutter.
