Abstract: Sexual harassment is a prevalent issue in Archaeological field schools. Isolation, accessibility, and power dynamics can all lead to potential harm and unsafe situations. Field schools are how students experience the profession for the first time, and so it is imperative that both students and faculty have an awareness of harassment policies and reporting procedures. However, many field schools lack proper training to prepare students for these situations. To rectify this, an interactive training module was developed focusing on sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct specific to archaeological fieldwork. Built using the platform Twine, the program guides users through scenarios based on research and adapted real-life cases, allowing exploration of possible responses and outcomes. This project aims to spread awareness of harassment in Archaeology and equip students with the knowledge and tools to respond effectively. Ultimately, it seeks to foster a safer field environment, and support a more inclusive discipline.
