Abstract: Libraries are expanding and becoming more than just a space for borrowing books, but a place for social and civic engagement that supports learning and community-building. This study aimed to gain a better understanding of what resources in a local public library are working, what could be improved upon, and what needs to be implemented. Participants completed a survey that consisted of both open- and closed-ended questions related to both the library and its resources, as well as demographics. Initial findings reveal that overall most people are satisfied with the resources that the library is currently offering, but would like to see changes in terms of accessibility of parking and more programs and events. The results highlight how the library is supporting the local community and what they could do to better meet the needs of the community members.
