Abstract: This project examines and explains the ongoing crisis of human trafficking in Central Asia. The analysis of laws, culture, and economic status of this region will demonstrate the many reasons for these human rights violations. The hardships of daily life in Central Asia put many innocents in vulnerable situations, which traffickers prey on. Testimonies will be included to show a better understanding of how everyday citizens could find themselves in the scheme of human trafficking. Finally, the project will answer the question of why the United States should care about the emergency in Central Asia.
